Durability and stability:
If the absorption of bricks is more than 30%, the use of this bricks in the facade is due to the presence of water in the brick and the contact of the brick with cold, the water inside the brick is frozen, causing the disintegration and crushing of the brick.
If the water absorption of bricks is less than 8%, bonding and adhesion between the brick and mortar will not be created and we will not have a solid body.
